Il gennaker kit per il DART18 è stato progettato per essere
montato senza applicare modifiche alla barca( buchi, rivetti
o atro) e per non affaticare l'albero soggetto ad uno sforzo
maggiore. Quindi la
buona notizia è che non si deve usare il trapano.....la
brutta notizia è che bisogna però smontare il DART per
applicare un gancio alla traversa di poppa (lato interno)
nella canaletta dove sono fissate le cinghie.

L'impressione generale che ho
avuto è che con vento leggero...è meglio lasciarlo a casa in
quanto tutta l'attrezzatura appesantisce la barca, e non si
guadagna niente in termini di velocità (se non addirittura
rallenta). Con vento medio e sostenuto è eccitante. In
sostanza, se il vostro circolo è posizionato in un luogo
ventoso, ne vale la pena, altrimenti è controproducente.
Ricordo che non è ammesso nelle regate di classe, mentre
nelle regate di flotta si applica un rating di 1,16 contro
1,18 (senza gennaker)
The good new is that you have
not to drill any hole or modify your DART...the bad new is
that you have to disassambley the boat to put a hook
into the rear beam, where the foot streps go in.
My impression was that in
light wind conditions it adds only weight to the boat and no
speed. In medium or fast wind it is very exciting. In
fwew words:if you sail in a light conditions place leave it,
if in windy place take it! Remember that gennaker is
not classs legal and in fleet regattas it takes a 1,16
rating point versus 1,18 (without gennaker). |
